jess sends greetings

and a picture of her new tattoo....that's a ukelele with 3 songbirds (Jess and her 2 South American friends)....she is doing some serious travelling of her own in Australia...

I think that this is the Gold Coast or Byron Bay area....we got an email with pictures but no explanation...anyhow, she is having a great experience and learning some pretty unique life skills at the same time....

 as you can see, the love of the tropical ocean has been passed on to the next generation....

Jess is excited about our upcoming journey and we may all wind up in New Zealand in the next little while....it depends on how much longer she stays "down under".......

saying goodbye

we said goodbye for a while to Jarrett last week...he is heading up to the Yukon for his second season as a production co-ordinator on the TV show Yukon Gold...he drove a big Dodge Ram 4X4 truck up there and texted us on his journey....the sandwiches tasted really good....the show is the number one show on the History Channel....he's pretty excited and loves the people at Paperny Entertainment....

preparing

July 1/Canada Day....we've emptied out the locker and done some more purging....we want to travel light and keep meaningful things only.....Linda wants new furniture when we settle back east...I agree..

Mostly we'll miss the view and the breeze from this place, especially in the summer. This has been a great home base for a lot of years and we've had a lot of great adventures but it's time to move on now..
