the drive to Hanmer Springs is beautiful and the sun again is shining…..we get into town at a decent time and decide to hike up to Mount Isobel waterfall….the literature says that this is a walk but it turns out to be a pretty steep climb of about 1000 meters……the waterfall is a welcome sight and we take advantage of the cool water….we are 200 meters short of the summit of Mount Isobel but feeling a little lazy so we head back down into town to check in and find dinner…..Hanmer Springs is crazy beautiful and crazy expensive so we take advantage of our kitchens once again and make a healthy affordable meal….the barbecue at the park is great….tomorrow we head into the hot springs for a day of total relaxation…..
